World champ Filipe Toledo launched a new YouTube series in September titled Peace & Power.

Since the second episode debuted in November, a lot has changed for Toledo.

Earlier this year, the reigning world champion withdrew from the World Surf League’s (WSL) 2024 Championship Tour. The news came days after he bowed out of the WSL's season kickoff event, the Lexus Pipe Pro, citing mental health as his reason. But the decision still sparked online backlash of gossip about Toledo's discomfort in big surf.

Since then, Toledo's still hoping to surf in next summer's Paris Olympics and just competed in the International Surfing Association's games in Puerto Rico.

In his latest vlog above, Toledo lets viewers into upbringing and his home in Brazil.

Toledo captioned the vlog above (per Google Translate):

"This episode revives Filipe Toledo's past with memories of his life in Brazil, together with his childhood friends and his brother Matheus.

"Also, Filipe tells a little more about his social work and ways to impact the future generations of the place where he was raised."

Opening the video, Toledo narrates, saying:

"My childhood in Ubatuba, I think that until I was 18, I was still a child. I think these moments here were essential in my life to make me who I am professionally, personally. These are moments I wouldn't trade for anything."

His brother speaks to the camera as well, welcoming viewers into their personal life. The film allows the brothers to share details about their childhood, which Toledo says was, "very simple."
