Watch Now: “Peace & Power”, a 15-Minute Film From Filipe Toledo

"My biggest victory [this year] has been my dedication," says Filipe Toledo in this new short, titled "Peace & Power."

It's a telling statement.

Rather than be satisfied with winning the world title last year, Toledo has his eyes on much loftier goals. At the WSL Finals this year (which should run Saturday) he's looking to become just the 7th (male) surfer to claim a world title back-to-back, joining a list that includes Mark Richards, Tom Carroll, Tom Curren, Kelly Slater, Andy Irons and John Florence.

How's that for company?

Currently sitting in the world number 1 drivers seat, Toledo only needs to win two heats at Trestles to secure his second title. Sounds simple enough, but it's easier said than done, even for the world's fastest surfer at a wave that totally suits his strengths.
