Travis Kelce

Picture this: Travis Kelce, MLB star.

In a parallel universe, it could be their reality, as the Chiefs tight end grew up playing ball, too.

Back on opening day for the Kansas City Royals, the NFL star looked back on his path not taken, sharing a collection of photos and videos of himself playing baseball throughout his life.

Set to a carnival-style instrumental version of "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," the montage began with footage from Sept. 4, 1995, where Kelce ran to a base in his backyard, jumping onto it enthusiastically, and then showing off one of his signature silly dances as he walked off the field.

Next up was a photo of him in a yellow jersey, posing with his bat and baseball cap.

Then, a grown-up Kelce wore an All-Star Celebrity Softball jersey, laughing along with J.R. Smith of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Several more photos from the game, which took place in 2019, followed.

"#openingday takes me back to being a kid!! Let’s go @kcroyals," he wrote alongside the post.

Fans are always down when the footballer posts his beloved throwback content, which Parade has taken the liberty of digging up.

One shared that she sees her elements of Kelce in her own son, sweetly writing, "OMG it was in you from birth. My 13 yo is just like this -cant wait to see him develop and still be 'energetic', hilarious and keep finding his direction."

"Born a clown… albeit a talented one!!" another fan wrote, while someone else noted, "Still actin' a fool! A1 since Day1 ! Love it."

"Yup you was definitely a killa 😂❤️," someone else joked, referencing a nickname from his close friends and his Instagram handle.

"You look like you gave ya momma hell as a kid 😂🙃💋," someone else observed, but that's okay, because Mama Kelce knows how to give it right back!
