Trader Joe's Recalls Yet Another Product As It May Contain Metal
Trader Joe's production plants seem to be having a hard time these days.
Just a few weeks after recalling three different products—their Almond Windmill Cookies and Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies, which may have contained rocks; their Unexpected Broccoli Cheddar Soup, which may have contained insects; and their Fully Cooked Falafel, which may have also contained rocks—the company has now issued a recall for their Multigrain Crackers with Sunflower and Flax Seeds.
A new foreign material is at fault in this newest recall, announced yesterday, Aug. 17, with the packaged crackers at risk for containing metal.
The affected products are marked by SKU# 76156, with a best by date of 03/01/24 to 03/05/24.
Like the other recalls so far, the company has not divulged how the contaminants made their way into the product or how they were discovered, but no illnesses or injuries related to the crackers have been reported thus far.
All potentially affected products have been removed from store shelves and destroyed. If you are in possession of one, make sure to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe's for a full refund.
It's also been a bad month for ice cream lovers, with Eclipse Foods recalling its Caramel Butter Pecan pints because they may contain fragments of ink pens (don't worry, we're just as confused as you are), and Brooklyn-based Real Kosher Ice Cream recalling its Soft Serve on the Go (and sorbet) cups due to possible listeria contamination. If that wasn't bad enough, Nestlé has recalled a limited quantity of its "break and bake" chocolate chip cookie dough bars over the potential presence of wood fragments.
