As the holiday season winds down and people return to healthier habits after some heavy indulgence, we look back on the most popular wellness trends this year.

Here were the most searched health topics on desktop and mobile, according to Yahoo Search, from January to November 2023.

Weight-loss drugs

Weight-loss drugs were Yahoo’s top health search this year, with celebrities from Oprah to Sharon Osbourne going public as users of appetite suppressants in an effort to slim down. Ozempic, which is approved by the Food and Drug Administration to treat type 2 diabetes, was the most popular weight-loss drug search, though other injections and pills such as Wegovy, Mounjaro and Contrave also piqued the interest of many Yahoo users. This is one health trend that’s still gaining momentum, with Morgan Stanley Research reporting that 7% of Americans could be using Ozempic or Wegovy by 2035.
