How Todd and Julie Chrisley Will Spend the Holidays in Prison

Todd and Julie Chrisley are reportedly still looking forward to the holidays, even if their celebrations might look a lot different this year.

The reality TV stars, who are currently serving time in federal prison for bank fraud and tax evasion, are expected to see their children Chase, 27, and Savannah, 26, for the upcoming holidays, which will be their first Christmas from behind bars.

Attorney for the couple, Jay Surgent, told Radar Online the kids are planning to visit their parents at their respective facilities. (Todd, 54, is serving his sentence at FPC Pensacola in Florida, while Julie, 50, is at FMC Lexington in Kentucky.)

According to Surgent, the kids "are looking forward to getting together for the holidays—even if it's at an institution." Savannah will also be holding a "traditional" holiday dinner at their home, where Todd's mother, Nanny Faye, and the couple's granddaughter Chloé are expected to join.

In terms of not having their parents at their usual holiday festivities, Surgent said the kids are "sad about that, but truly have faith they are coming home."

Todd and Julie—who began their combined sentences of 19 years in January—are still attempting to appeal their convictions, though their appeal hearing, initially scheduled for March 2024, was recently pushed to the following month.

"Todd isn't happy, but he's content with the oral argument," Surgent told Radar about the recent change of plans. He also said the family is "hoping and believing" that the judge will give "full consideration" to reversing their convictions entirely.

The new update from Todd and Julie's attorney comes just weeks after Savannah celebrated the news of the appeals court granting their oral arguments, an update that she said had her "sobbing."

"One step closer to getting Mom and Dad home," she said in an Instagram video at the time, adding, "The kids are freaking out. I'm freaking out. I got to explain it to Chloe. It's just amazing."

The appeal trial date is now scheduled to take place the week of April 15, 2024.
