Todd Chrisley's Mom Gives Update on Her Cancer Battle

Nanny Faye Chrisley is giving an uplifting update about her battle with bladder cancer.

The 80-year-old mother of Todd Chrisley revealed this week that her cancer—which she was diagnosed with in 2021—is now in remission.

While making an appearance on granddaughter Lindsie Chrisley's podcast, The Southern Tea, on Wednesday, Sept. 27, Nanny Faye shared the good news, stating, "Im blessed every day."

"Everyone knows I’ve had bladder cancer," she stated, before confirming, "I’m in remission, thank God."

"I’ve been out moving around, doing the best I can," she added.

"That makes me so happy," Lindsie, 34, said in response. “When I got the call that your scans were clear, it was such a relieving feeling and I’m sure that everybody else in our family felt that exact same way."

Nanny Faye went on to detail what her treatment plan will look like in the future, sharing that her PET scans were completely clear, so she didn't have to move forward with any further treatments.

"But I have to come back in three months and if everything looks good, we’ll move on," she explained.

The Chrisley Knows Best star previously opened up about her cancer battle on granddaughter Savannah Chrisley's Unlocked podcast earlier this year, where the duo talked about the difficulties of not having Todd and Julie Chrisley around anymore amid Nanny Faye's health journey.

As we know, Todd and Julie are currently serving time in separate federal prisons for bank fraud and tax evasion. They began their sentences in January of this year after being convicted in June 2022.

"If we're being honest about it, everyone knows mom and dad were your primary caregiver," Savannah, 26, admitted, while Nanny Faye agreed that it's been "real hard" without them around.

"There wasn't one treatment [for my bladder cancer] where my precious daughter-in-law wasn't with me—not one time," Nanny Faye added. "Through it all, she's been with me."

But Todd and Julie recently received good news about their release dates, which have been slightly moved up as the result of good behavior. They are now expected to be released in January 2033 and October 2028, respectively.
