Savannah Chrisley Gives New Update on 'Struggling' Parents in Prison

Savannah Chrisley is providing the latest update on her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley, who have been serving time in federal prison for bank fraud and tax evasion.

Todd and Julie, who began their sentences in separate prisons back in January, recently had their release dates moved up after being described as "model incarcerated individuals."

But despite their good behavior behind bars, their daughter insists that her parents are still very much "struggling."

"Mentally, it's a hard place to be at," Savannah, 26, told E! News while discussing her parents' experience in prison so far. "You do the same things over and over and over again, every single day."

It seems that Todd and Julie are mostly struggling with the isolation of being behind bars, while not only being apart from their kids, but also being apart from each other.

The former reality TV stars are serving their sentences separately, with Todd at FPC Pensacola in Florid and Julie at FMC Lexington in Kentucky.

"That's another way that the system is broken," Savannah insisted. "They've been together almost 30 years...they were together 24/7 and they've gone now eight months without speaking and that's the tough part."

The Chrisley's son Chase Chrisley recently gave an update on his parents' status as well, revealing that it has been over 200 days since the married couple have spoken to each other, which he said is "really tough for them because my mom and dad are obsessed with each other."

"They’re hanging in there," Chase said at the time, while noting that it's still, "a terrible situation" for the family.

Now that their sentences have been shortened, Todd, who was originally given 12 years, is scheduled to be released on January 22, 2033. Julie, who was initially supposed to be behind bars for 7 years, will be out on October 19, 2028.
