Chrisley Family Announces New Reality Series to 'Share Their Story' Amid Legal Troubles

The Chrisleys are gearing up to dominate the TV landscape once again.

People announced that the Chrisley family has teamed up with Scout Productions for an upcoming new reality series that will explore the family’s “next chapter” in the aftermath of Todd and Julie Chrisley’s legal woes and prison sentences.

The focus of the new series—said to be “a continuation of their story"—will focus on Chase, Savannah, Grayson, Chloe, and Nanny Faye.

It’s said to give longtime fans a look at the Chrisleys as "they truly are — just as dynamically entertaining and naturally hilarious as ever, but not shying away from authentic drama and grit that makes them just as relatable as ever."

Savannah also elaborated that she felt “the time was right to share our story,” praising the production team's “authentic storytelling” that balances popular culture and empathy.

"We're so happy to be back,” she added.

Scout Productions Chief Creative Officer Rob Eric called the return of “reality royalty” to the small screen “beyond thrilling.”

"They're ready to bring their signature heart and quirk back to the fans and we look forward to telling their story," he added.

The family first garnered attention with their USA Network series Chrisley Knows Best in 2014, which followed the Southern family's everyday life, with a spinoff following Savannah and Chase, Growing Up Chrisley, following suit.

The original series concluded with its 10th season in March, coinciding with Todd and Julie’s fraud scandal. The parents, 53 and 49, were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in June, and sentenced to 12 and seven years, respectively, in November.

News of a new series shouldn’t be totally shocking to fans as Savannah previously teased the idea, explaining in her Unlocked podcast that she hoped it would show how the kids are coping with “mom and dad being gone.”

"Also too, having two kids and all of us stepping in to make sure that they have what they need emotionally, psychologically, physically, all the things, I feel like there's a level of humor to it as well,” she concluded.

Since then, the Chrisleys have been stirring up controversy with updates about their parents' time in prison, with Savannah previously stating the duo hasn’t spoken to each other in almost 200 days, while Chase explained the “inhumane” conditions they were experiencing.
