Tiffany Haddish shuts down pregnancy speculation: 'Just getting fat'

While hosting the MTV Movie & TV Awards last June, Tiffany Haddish rocked a fake baby bump and joked that Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan got her pregnant simply by dazzling her with his good looks. But for those keeping track at home, the Girls Trip actress is not actually expecting a child.

That didn’t stop one of her Instagram followers from asking, however. After the comedian posted footage of herself “living my best life” in a curve-hugging, pale mint Michael Kors gown at a Golden Globes after-party, a commenter dropped this little bomb: “U pregnant?”

It didn’t take long for the brazen inquiry to catch Haddish’s attention. The 39-year-old star shut down any baby gossip with this self-deprecating response: “No just getting fat.”

The interaction raised eyebrows from her fans, who called the commenter “rude” and praised Haddish’s “authenticity.”

“Fat where? You look like a snack,” a follower wrote.

“It’s called eating realllllly good when you making good money,” added a supporter.

While Haddish seemed to laugh off the pregnancy rumors, she didn’t mince her words when dealing with two other trolls who commented on her post.

When one commenter accused her of not being funny because she didn’t “roast” her critics following complaints over a recent, and reportedly disappointing, Miami gig, Haddish stood her ground.

“Why waste time roasting people that aren’t brave enough to do what I do or don’t even have half the talent?” she shot back. “[I’d] rather sit back and watch my money go up because you silly Willy’s can’t keep my name out your mouth. Thank You for thinking of me!”

She also took on a commenter who called her “pathetic” and demanded a refund for the Miami show on New Year’s Eve, which Haddish herself has admitted wasn’t a hit.

“[First] of all, everything I have on I had to give back,” Haddish wrote of the commenter’s accusation that she was showing off. “Second, I got something special for y’all in Miami. You might not get your money back but you will get what you paid for. But if I ever come to your job and you f*** up best believe I am telling the world and I will use your name.”

There you have it. Tiffany Haddish: delivering cutting comebacks, not babies.
