Target’s women’s clothing brand A New Day—which specializes in a lot of work attire and professional-looking accessories—is selling the Large Boxy Tote Handbag for $40. It comes in four colors—including Black/Quilt, Black and Blue Denim—but the Natural/Black color seems to be one of people’s faves (and it looks very similar to a Marc Jacobs style).
The accessory has a “sophisticated” design of an unstructured tote handbag, which is where the “boxy” in its name comes from. It also has a magnetic closure, interior and exterior pockets and double handles.

The Large Boxy Tote Handbag measures 12.5 inches tall, 16 inches wide and 5.5 inches deep, making it a decent size for work or everyday use. The “natural” part of the exterior is made of straw and the rest of the bag is black fake leather with a fabric interior.

The bag’s straw and black “leather” look is very similar to The Woven Large Tote Bag by Marc Jacobs. It goes for $595 and has a similar boxy design with black handles. It’s also a very similar size (if only a tad bigger), measuring 13 inches tall, 17 inches long and 6 inches deep. It’s also made of straw on its exterior, with a black leather trim and a twill lining.
Of course, Marc Jacobs’s Woven Large Tote Bag has the recognizable “The Tote Bag” written on the front, and Target’s has no writing. But if you’re fine without the branded labeling and high-end materials, Target’s Large Boxy Tote Handbag is just fine for your style and daily bag needs.
