Starving Dog Dumped in Street Has Best Transformation After Being Rescued in Chicago
A video shared by Paws Chicago, a no kill shelter out of Chicago, Illinois, on October 17, showed something that is all too tragically frequent, a dog that had been dumped in the street and left to fend for itself. To makes matters worse, the dog, who this wonderful shelter has since named Dumpling, had been intentionally starved.
Watch the following to see the beautiful transformation of this sweet girl from a dog who could barely move to one that thrived under the care of this rescue.
The heartbreaking but ultimately wonderful clip, shared by the TikTok account for @pawschicago explains, "Dumpling had been intentionally starved to the point that she was barely alive. Too weak to even move, animal control picked her up after she was seen being dumped on the street. Our hearts ache for what she had to go through, and yet, Dumpling holds no grudges. She is eager to trust, to love, to cuddle, to live. Despite someone’s cruelest efforts, Dumpling has plenty of that ahead of her. She’s now in a foster home to be spoiled with love while she continues to recover!"

TikTok users are heartbroken but so happy Dumpling is safe now. @Ze comments, "Beautiful Dumpling. What a fighter." Another person sadly added, "How people can be so cruel is just beyond me. Poor sweet baby." @Pink adds, "Such a sweet, innocent and brave little soul."
It's horrific to think this could ever happen to a helpless animal, but we are so thrilled that wonderful shelters exist to help animals like Dumpling.
