Skier Stan Rey Survives Crucial Miscalculation

Professional skier Stan Rey made a lot of people happy when he compared skiing to golf in a recent Instagram caption. "It is said that golf is a game of inches but I’m gonna go ahead and say skiing is too." See below.

However, the reason why he made this comparison did not make people feel better about their hobbies. Sure, both skiing and golf can be dangerous (you can get hit in the head with a golf ball, right? Plus, those carts seem a little too fun to be safe).

Rey explains that he went about 6-9 inches too far left off "a super blind sniper take off" and paid "a small price of kneeing himself."

Everything was going well until then: fresh tracks and a 360 he landed with ease. Sometimes, there's just nothing you can do about rocks.

Rey isn't exactly a stranger to things going a little off course due to the variable ground conditions. At the Freeride World Tour stop at Kicking Horse, Stan Rey won the unofficial "Tomahawk of the Day" award.

This time, like FWT, Rey promises us he's okay. "Don’t worry, I’m all good just a bit of a sore jaw but it was a good thing I was wearing my mouth guard. Can’t wait to get back at it when the sun decides to poke its head out!"

We can't wait for more clips.
