The Mammoth Mountain Summit Sign Is Nearly Buried

Mammoth Mountain, CA, just saw 25-29 inches of fresh snow on their upper-mountain. The resort is known for their large amounts of snow, and this season, while it's no '22-'23, still came in strong in terms of snowfall.

In more good news, the Panorama Gondola to the summit is now open. See below.

Mammoth has a base depth of 123 inches, with all of their halfpipes and parks open.

20 out of 24 of their lifts are turning, and 168 out of 176 of their trails are open.

Mammoth Mountain has the highest summit of any California resort at 11,053 feet, making for some great snow. This season, although it's no '23-'24 season, they saw 28 inches in April alone, surpassing what they received last April (despite it being a record snowfall season).

Canyon and Eagle Lodges operations have been extended one week. They will be open daily through Sunday, April 21. After that, lifts will run out of Main Lodge daily through Memorial Day.

Their season total is 354 inches. Today at Mammoth the weather is a sunny 31 degrees and there is some wind: gusts will be as high as 45 mph.

Just one day ago, Mammoth Mountain officials posted to Instagram that "Second Season" just keeps on delivering, with bluebird powder days galore. See below.

It looks pretty sweet. With the resort open through Memorial Day, California skiers and riders have a lot left to look forward to.
