Rockport Kite Festival returns for third year Saturday
Expect to see a sky full of kites of all shapes, sizes and colors at the 3rd annual Rockport Kite Festival Saturday.
At the Rockport Festival Grounds, 1500 E. Laurel St., people will be able to enjoy the free, fun, family-friendly event and participate in flying kites from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Held by Rockport Parks and Recreation, the Kite Festival includes kite-making workshops, flying demonstrations and a stunt kite flying team from Austin — Austin End of the Line Kite team. The festival will also feature live music and food vendors.
Event activities are subject to change due to weather conditions.
Kite Festival schedule
10 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Giant kite displays
10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Kite making crafts
10 a.m., 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m.: Austin End of the Line Kite team
8 to 10 p.m.: LED Night Kites
Music Line-up
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Gary Prukop
1:30 to 3:30 p.m.: Mike Luna
4:30 to 6:30 p.m.: The Groove
7:30 to 9:30 p.m.: Music by Grady
