Queen Letizia Steps Out in the Red Leather Pants You'll Want to Wear All Spring

Today, the king and queen held a ceremony at the Royal Palace El Pardo, in Madrid, to present the National Sports Awards 2022. For the occasion, Letizia chose a business-casual ensemble that championed the current pop-of-red trend in the most elegant way. It was composed of a breezy ivory bow blouse by Carolina Herrera tucked into the most perfect high-waisted leather pants in a smoky red hue, by Hugo Boss. The biker-esque straight-leg trousers ended just above the queen’s ankles, lending the spotlight then to her pointy leather kitten-heel pumps from Spanish brand Magrit in the same tone.

As readers know, red, in all its deep and bright shades, is having a big moment, even amongst royalty. Last year, England’s Princess Catherine debuted various incredible candy apple red ensembles, and now, Letizia is giving her signature high-low treatment to Merlot red.

Letizia finished her look today with a white leather belt with a sleek silver buckle, small gold teardrop earrings from Pdpaola, and a gold ring from Coreterno. She further embraced the rouge theme in her look with her makeup, which included a maroon smoky eye, blush, and a glossy pink lip. Her brown hair was styled in a straight, side-parted ’do.
