After Kate Middleton revealed her cancer diagnosis last week, there's been an outpouring of support for the Princess of Wales.

Today in Shrewsbury, Queen Camilla shared that Kate is "thrilled by all the kind wishes and support." Camilla's outing was the first major public event for a senior royal since the Princess of Wales shared her news, and the support for Kate was clear among the crowd.

Upon seeing signs young royal fans made for the Princess that read "send our love to Kate," Camilla told them, "I shall send these on to Catherine she will be thrilled." She also held one of the posters:

On Friday, Kate spoke about her cancer diagnosis in a moving personal video released by Kensington Palace.

"Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance," the Princess said. "As is the love, support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both."

She continued, "We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment. My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery."

Following her news, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said both King Charles and Queen Camilla "will continue to offer their love and support to the whole family throughout this difficult time." King Charles, too, is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, and the spokesperson said he is "so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did."
