New pizza place on the campus of Mercer hosts its grand opening in Macon

A highly anticipated pizzeria is finally set to open Wednesday.

Mercer Village Pizza, located at 1635 Montpelier Ave., will host its grand opening and festivities at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Owners of the new pizza joint, which is also dubbed MVP, welcome Bibb County to show up and “enjoy delicious pizza, great music and fantastic company,” according to their Facebook page.

“Thank you all for your love and support getting us to this point and make sure you all come in and try some classic pizzas that will take you down memory lane and prepare to be WOWED with our delicious bruschettas, sandwiches, appetizers, wings, and finish it off with some sweet treats,” read the Facebook post.

First-timers can listen to live musical performances by special guest Joseph Creath while dining.
