Why do people go to Los Cabos?

Los Cabos, on the Baja California Peninsula, is a resort area consisting of two towns: Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo.

The beaches are the main allure of Los Cabos, taking up the vast majority of Tripadvisor's top 15 things to do. Swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing and whale watching are popular activities.

People who visit should be aware that some of the beaches are not suitable for swimming because of their rough waters and undertows, as well as the risk of dangerous rip currents according to the Los Cabos Tourism Board.
