Parrot Island opening weekend around the corner
FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Parrot Island Waterpark’s will kick off its 2024 season on May 18-19.
According to a press release, the park will be open daily for the full season on Memorial Day weekend through August 11. The park will then be open weekends only after Agust 11 including Labor Day Weekend.
The water park will feature water slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, Flow Rider, a kiddie area and other activities.
“As we gear up for the 2024 season at Parrot Island Waterpark, I am thrilled to invite our guests back for opening weekend. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the island for a summer filled with exciting memories and endless smiles,” said Drew Peterson, general manager of Parrot Island Waterpark.

The release says additional dates have been added for Dark Water Night. Early access returns for Tiny Tot Time and Aqua Jog. Friend Frenzy is also back for season pass holders on select weekends.
The waterpark will hold its Military Appreciation Day on June 22, First Responders Day on July 20, Healthcare Workers Day on August 3 and Educators Day on August 31. All appreciation day events feature free admission for anyone working in those industries and family members will receive a 50% discount.
