Natalie Portman Turns Heads in Striking 'Black Swan'-Inspired Mini Dress

Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman turned back the clock in her latest red carpet appearance.

The V for Vendetta actress stepped out for the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix's May December, held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Thursday, Nov. 16, where the actress was dressed to impress.

Portman gave off a total dark ballerina vibe, taking us back to 2010 as she embodied her Black Swan character in a black mini dress with a tutu-style skirt. The bedazzled bust featured a deep v and was connected to the wide skirt, which was lined with a shimmering fabric, with a thick waistband.

The dress was completed with a giant applique over her heart which had the appearance of a black sea urchin, finishing off the 'fit with a pair of simple strappy heels.

She forewent accessories and opted for a simple neutral makeup look, leaving her long hair straight and sweeping down her back.

The psychological horror flick, also starring Mila Kunis, was an unexpected box office success upon its limited release. Portman took home the 2011 Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, the 2011 Critics Choice Award for Best Actress, the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, and the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama, among countless other nominations for the film.

Her character was desperate to look perfect as she auditioned to dance as the Black Swan in Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, and we'd say she's pulled it off once again!
