Influencer mom Tink--@cherries_87 on TikTok--revealed that her daughter Ruby's school has gone "too far" by prohibiting teaching the student unless she removes her nose piercing.

She’s trying to pierce through the red tape.

Influencer mom Tink — @cherries_87 on TikTok — has claimed that her daughter Ruby’s school has gone “too far” refusing to teach the student and her cousin unless she removes her nose piercing.

“The school has decided that they will not teach [daughter] Ruby or [cousin] Maisie at all until they take their nose stud out,” she confessed in a TikTok clip, posted on May 15, with more than 2 million views.

Tink is known for allowing her daughter and niece to express themselves through vibrant hair colors and facial piercings, which she shares in videos online.

However, although the mother approves of the children’s free spirit and willingness to be different, the school they attend reportedly does not.

According to Tink, school officials advised her that the children’s nose jewelry had to be removed, so instead, she swapped the metal out for something nearly invisible.

“I replaced both of their nose studs yesterday with clear, see-through plastic containers [so] you can’t even see them,” she added.

Unfortunately, the faculty members, with 20/20 vision, spotted the clear studs and sent the children into isolation.

Frustrated over the situation, Tink demanded to speak to the head teacher, who allegedly dodged her each time she visited the campus.

“She’s refused to even ring me, contact me or anything,” Tink said. “This head teacher just stayed in her office whenever I’m there and refused to come out.”

Whenever an issue has occurred, the mother has received contact from the deputy head even though the head teacher made the “nose stud rule” this year.

“Ruby had her nose pierced last year when the head teacher wasn’t there, and that was absolutely fine,” Tink mentioned.

Despite her claims of the school’s seamless approval, when she pierced her daughter’s nose in 2023, administrators did call the mother with concerns, The Post previously reported.

“I did get a phone call from the school today, which we knew that was going to happen,” she explained in the resurfaced TikTok. “The teacher did stop Ruby and was like, they’ve got a no face piercing rule at the school so we need to abide by it. But the head of Year 7 did ring me, and we have come to a compromise.”

But with a new sheriff in town, the new rules left both children upset, making Tink feel overwhelmed and unsure of what to do.

“I can’t keep my child at that school because it’s going to be detrimental to her, but at the same time, I want her to be proud of who she wants to be and how she wants to look,” she declared.

Other parents commented underneath the viral video, sharing suggestions and criticism.

“I don’t understand how a piercing [affects] learning,” wrote one person. “That’s a tad too far.”

“Rules are rules and [you’re] a mess,” added another.

“I’d ring [your] local council and speak to the education department for advice!” commented a TikToker.

“Not being rude, have [you] ever thought about finding a different school or looking at homeschooling,” suggested a watcher.

In a follow-up video, the mother-daughter duo revealed she removed the nose stud and plans to relocate Ruby to a new school in their local area that allows children to express their creativity.

“Fingers crossed — hopefully, we’ll have some luck,” she smiled.
