If there's one thing that famed host Al Roker does well, it's dive into some good food. While his great breakfast sandwich idea is still on the top of most people's minds, the Today co-host gave everyone something else to talk about: the delicious spread he made this past weekend for his birthday.

Celebrating his 69th trip around the sun on Sunday, August 20, Roker — with the help of his daughter, Courtney Roker Laga — made a massive pre-birthday dinner spread that would make anyone wish they were invited to the get down. "With the help of @ouichefroker and @debrobertsabc my pre #birthday#saturdaysupper," he wrote, sharing the snap of the cookout-style lineup to his Instagram.

So what exactly was included in his al fresco dinner to kick off his big day? Well to start, plenty of protein. According to Roker, Smash burgers, hot dogs and cedar plank salmon all made up the meats for his Saturday supper, while corn pudding, corn on the cob and baked beans all served as the sides. As for the veggies? There was both a tomato salad and a general salad available for the family to chow down on, too.

While his pre-birthday meal was enough to make anyone feel like they've been playing it small for their big day, Roker and his family also went out to eat on the big day at the Hudson Valley-based restaurant, Bimi's Canteen & Bar. And if you guessed that the spread there was probably unforgettably delicious, you're definitely right. From pasta and steak to chicken and tasty sides, Al Roker surely had plenty of meals worth talking about.
