Al Roker Pokes Fun at the Way Craig Melvin Eats Popsicles

Al Roker has an apparent issue with Craig Melvin and it's got nothing to do with his hosting capabilities but rather the way he eats an ice pop.
In a sneaky video, Roker, 68, shared to his Instagram grid on Wednesday, Melvin minds his own business, enjoying a rainbow popsicle.
The zoomed-in clip shows the 44-year-old licking the frozen treat before he goes in for a tiny, gummy bite, followed by another, and then one more. Melvin must feel the eye of a lens on him as he suddenly jolts up, looking around somewhat puzzled.
"To eat an ice pop, use the #melvinmethod," Roker joked in the caption. "Lick it to soften, then bite."
"Notice how he confuses the ice pop with lip balm," the 68-year-old weather presenter went on. "At the end, Craig’s like, 'Who’s that?'"
His caption concluded with a shoutout to the cameraman, "Thanks, @zschiffman for the video #melvinmethod."
Roker wasn't the only one who found Melvin's method odd, as viewers continued to tease him in the comments.

"He looks like a giant five year old!!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣," one Instagram user quipped before another added, "😂😂😂kid at heart … love Craig."
Someone else took the opportunity to poke fun at the both of them, declaring, "Craig Melvin is the next Al Roker, biggest kid there is🤪🤪🤪."
There were also quite a few social media users coming to Melvin's defense, one being Today show co-anchor Sheinelle Jones, who wrote: "😂😂😂 why did you post this??? We were going to let it go and let him live 😂."
"😂😂😂😂😂 this is so savage," a second added.
Still, Roker wasn't done making jabs at his colleague. He later shared a photo of the crew backstage with guest Jo Koy, noting in the caption: "No brings more smiles and joy to #studio1a than @jokoy He takes his new #broadway show, @herelieslovebway and his upcoming @netflix specials. He also hates the way @craigmelvinnbc eats an #icepop."
