Before I go wild adding new spring and summer fashion pieces to my closet, I’ve decided to lean into creating a capsule wardrobe with loads of mix-and-match styles that I can wear practically anytime, anywhere, with anything.
To avoid shelling out serious cash on several new items, I looked to one of my favorite hidden gem retailers, Walmart. I stumbled upon its exclusive brand, Scoop, which just released a capsule collection for spring, and let me just say, it’s perfection.

The shorter style features distressed denim and a frayed hem that can easily be dressed up with sandals or down with sneakers. I’m eyeing it in classic blue denim, but it’s also available in black and white.

Tenniscore is alive and well, and I’m here for the preppy ensembles. To keep with the trend, I’ll be adding this best-selling fitted polo sweater tee in multiple colors to my wardrobe to go with tennis skirts, jeans, and work slacks. It’s made with a soft knit fabric, and I love the split V-neckline to show off my jewelry stack.
Faux Leather Pull-On Shorts

I already own far too many denim shorts, and while they’re a timeless style, they’re not the most elevated bottom option for warmer days. For those instances where I want to dress a bit more business casual, I’ll reach for these faux leather shorts that can be styled with a basic tank top and oversized blazer. They have a wide elastic waistband for a comfy fit and are available in black and tan.

Nothing says warm weather like linen, and I’m so in love with this strapless top that I’m snagging it in both black and sand. For days I want a little more support, I can attach the removable straps for added security. While I sometimes avoid strapless styles altogether since I have a bigger bust, this one has a grippy elastic around the chest to keep it in place.
