There’s a new kid on the block in the world of activewear: Vuori. Once an under-the-radar brand, it has now taken over the streets of New York City. In fact, I’ve spent a good amount of my time (and money!) at boutique NYC fitness studios in the past few weeks, and everyone agrees Vuori is here to stay, so, it’s time to get on board.

It makes total sense; the clothing is soft, like buttery soft. Founded in 2015 by active yogi and surfer Joe Kudla, Vuori focuses on durability, performance, function, and, obviously, comfort. So, not only will you look cute while working out, but the clothes are also practical—leggings that won’t rip from spin-class chafing and tennis dresses with attached biker shorts so no wardrobe malfunction. Love!

What’s more, unlike many workout clothes that are super tight and uncomfortable to lounge around in, you can easily transition Vuori’s pieces from the workout studio to lunch with a friend without your leggings digging into your sides or sports bra restricting airflow. Though the brand’s items are a bit pricey, you’ll wear them so regularly that they’re worth the investment. Not to mention, they last a long time, wear after wear and wash after wash.

The reason the clothing is so comfortable is that it’s not solely made of polyester, a common fabric in workout clothes that you might be wearing now. Two of the brand’s most frequently used fabrics are a signature BlissBlend, a remarkably comfortable, airy material designed for superior stretch, and DreamKnit, a buttery soft performance fabric.

Curious to try it out and see why everyone in NYC is wearing the label? Check out some of the pieces that are totally worth it—according to me and stylish, active New Yorkers who’ve also been seen in these ultra-comfy activewear staples.

Vuori Daily Crop Tank Top

Boutique fitness studios, especially those in New York, can be intimidating because everyone looks so good. Part of that is because they’re all wearing really good outfits, which include a top-notch bra. This Vuori pick is great because you can pair it with the brand’s leggings, shorts, or even a skirt for the two-piece set of your dreams. It’s both a bra and a tank top, so you don’t have to worry about matching, simplifying the getting-ready process.

Vuori Performance Jogger

There is no world in which I become someone who lounges around in jeans, which is why I love these sweatpants so much. They’re a bit more elevated than your traditional sweatpants and pair nicely with most tank tops and sweatshirts. I wear these every single time I board a flight because I need to be comfortable, but I also need to look good enough for the meet-cute I’ve been waiting for. Wink, wink.

Vuori AllTheFeels™ Legging

My truth is that I hate about 95 percent of leggings, because I really dislike the feeling of being encased like a sausage. These AllTheFeelings leggings feel like second skin, so I don’t even notice I have them on. There are so many colors to choose from and are available in sizes XXS to XXL, so there are options. You can even choose between short, regular, and long inseams, which is something I truly appreciate as most leggings look like highwaters on me because of my height.

Vuori One Shot Tennis Dress

If you’ve watched Challengers recently, you might be in the market for a good tennis dress to kickstart your tennis career. This one from Vuori is one of my favorites because it’s moisture-wicking, so the sweat doesn’t stick to my body, and it has attached biker shorts, meaning no matter how badly I faceplant on the field, I don’t have to worry about flashing anyone.
