Kate Hudson’s New Song Is Being Called a ‘Mommy Anthem’ for Two Heart-Warming Reasons

No matter what other exciting things she does — star in new movies, model the latest designer fashions, jumpstart a music career — Kate Hudson is, first and foremost, a mom. And her latest project seems to highlight that in a really beautiful way. The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star announced she is dropping a new single this week, and people are already praising it as a “mommy anthem.”
Hudson is releasing a new song called “Live Forever” on Thursday, and people think it’s going to be about her kids Rani, 5, with fiancé Danny Fujikawa, Bingham, 12, with ex Matt Bellamy, and Ryder, 20, with ex Chris Robinson.

The first reason? Because of the gorgeous cover art. The “Talk About Love” singer shared a photo of the single cover, where she is all bundled up in a warm jacket and beanie hat. Hudson leans over a half wall to kiss a little kid that looks like her daughter Rani, who is dressed in jeans, a warm coat, and a cute pink hat. Talk about sweet!
In her caption, Hudson gave another clue that this song will be about motherhood. “So excited to let you know a new song is coming!” the Glass Onion star wrote. “When I wrote the song I didn’t realize it would take me a while to be able to sing the song all the way through without crying.”
She continued, “But I pulled it off and can’t wait to share. You’ll see why soon 🤍 Live Forever out March 28 🤍 Link in bio to pre-save.”
She couldn’t even sing it without crying? It sounds just like the Jonas Brothers’ parent anthem “Little Bird.” One person commented, “Oh man, that title + this pic is already making me 😢!! Can’t wait to hear the song! ❤️❤️”
“it’s going to be the new Mommy Anthem,” another wrote.
Hudson’s makeup artist Debra Ferullo basic confirmed what we thought (feared?) was true: “To all the mums out there … bring your tissues. It’s a beautiful tearjerker and probably my favorite song. ❤” Aww!!!

At the end of 2023, Hudson announced her plans to record and release an album in 2024. “Two and a half years in the making. Lock down reminded me to have no creative regrets in life, take chances, don’t let anyone determine why or when you chose to put art in the world, be fearless in moves you make and music is my first creative love story that I would regret not sharing. Might be time 💫 2024 gonna be fun💫”
Musical talent clearly runs in the family. Rani has made beautiful melodies on white crystal bowls, and she has helped her mom promote her new music. And Ryder and Bingham have rocked out together in the garage, with the former on guitar and the latter on drums.
“My boys 🥰 What more could a mom ask for other than boys who play rock and are hilarious at the same time ✅,” she captioned a cute video on Instagram.
Maybe her kids will make a guest appearance in one of her songs? Either way, we can’t wait to hear her new music!
