Jada Pinkett Smith is ahead of the fall trends and even setting her own with what she called a "sherbet surprise" and "sunrise" inspired hair color.

On Monday, Sept. 18, the actress, producer and talk show host celebrated her 52nd birthday, and to commemorate, she totally switched up her look by dying her hair a gorgeous pastel rose gold color.

"This ain’t noth’n but a birthday sherbet surprise within a Virgo sunrise✨🎉," she quipped in the caption of her post.

The multi-hyphenate and her new selfie quickly earned the applause of fans and birthday wishes from friends on Instagram. "Virgo season's finest ❤️ ♍️," wrote Kerry Washington. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!"

"Happiest Bday pretty lady!!!!!! 🙏🏽❤️" cheered Sheree Zampino, the ex-wife of Will Smith–whom Jada married in 1997 and welcomed two children, Willow and Jaden–and mother of the Gemini Man actor's eldest child, Trey.

"🔥🔥Stunning. Happy birthday Queen," exclaimed actress Jurnee Smollett.

The Red Table Talk host has been open about her battle with alopecia, the clinical term for hair loss. Earlier this year, she shared that she was in her "comeback" era in regards to the decreased amount of "trouble spots" and the length of her hair.

Prior to that, during a 2018 episode of the Facebook Watch series, she revealed she was "terrified when it first started."

"I was in the shower one day and had just handfuls of hair in my hands and I was just like, ‘Oh, my God, am I going bald?’ It was one of those times in my life where I was literally shaking with fear," she said, further explaining that the "issues" she's experienced are part of the reason she rocks a shaved head.

"I just had [thought], ‘OK, I think we’re gonna do another layer of cutting,’ you know? And my hair has been a big part of me," she said. "Taking care of my hair has been a beautiful ritual, and having the choice to have hair or not, and then one day to be like, ‘Oh, my God, I might not have the choice.’"
