The internet cannot get over how much clothing Kim Kardashian wears in her very 'Sound of Music' photoshoot

Kim Kardashian just revealed photos of her spread in the 13th issue of CR Fashion Book, and the very un-Kardashian images are causing jaws all over the internet to drop.

While her fashion choices usually don’t date back further than the 1980s, these milkmaid-inspired looks hearken to the 1800s and early 1900s — puffy sleeves, long voluminous skirts and all. Lucky for this lascivious lady, the style of those times also involved corsets and cleavage.

In the first photo from the shoot, she’s wearing a Vivienne Westwood dress. The top of the dress is red and features very puffy long sleeves that are almost as wide as the dramatic skirt. The neckline of the corset top is plunging and the skirt is pink. Her hair is styled in a big braided bun that sits at the nape of her neck.

In the second look, you can only see her from the chest up, and she’s wearing a peasant blouse by LoveShackFancy with a black dress over it by the Row. She’s posing in a valley. The whole thing is very Sound of Music meets Marie Antoinette or Little House on the Prairie meets Les Misérables.

The mother of three is known for her shocking style, but she’s usually shocking for what she’s not wearing. This time, people cannot get over what and how much she is wearing.

“Omg I did not recognize you,” one fan tweeted.

“I love seeing Kim in clothes. She’s got a rocking bod, but we’ve seen every inch of it. This is different and beautiful and perfect and I’m here for it,” a Twitter user gushed. “I love how different this is! You look so beautiful!” echoed another.

Most people cannot get over how much of the 37-year-old’s body is covered, since she so often poses in nothing but underwear, a bikini, or a teeny tiny dress, especially as of late. “That’s the most clothes I’ve seen on you in a while,” a fan tweeted. “You look GREAT with clothes on!” added another. “I know Kim is a sex symbol, but she looks so stunning in this picture. Sometimes less is more. You don’t have to show a lot of skin to look beautiful,” one Instagram user pointed out.

Unfortunately, not everyone is a fan of this daring look. “At least @makeupbymario saved the day. But the dress is awful. What were they thinking!” someone wrote in response to her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic’s post promoting the shoot. “Kim is about to churn some bomb ass butter,” another Instagrammer joked. “… I’m sorry.. I just had to laugh,” wrote a Twitter user.

Many of the naysayers were most bothered by the puffy sleeves because they thought they made her arms look bigger. “That dress makes her upper body look so manly. Definitely not a fan of this,” someone stated. “Looks like a linebacker.”

Then there are the comparisons. Some are spot on, some are simply hilarious. They range from The Handmaid’s Tale to Harriet Tubman. “Serving Little House on the Prairie realness!” someone tweeted. “Handmades Tail [sic] kinda inspired, i love it!” suggested another. “LMAAAOOO she looks like she’s gonna round all the sheep up 😂🐑,” an Instagrammer joked. Others mentioned Disney princesses and Gone with the Wind. “Modern Day Snow White. It’s strong yet romantic. Sexy yet soft. Evokes power in silence. One thing to just be a model, entirely different thing to be able to emote through an image,” someone said. “She looks like Scarlett O’Hara… but like the carol burnett version where she’s wearing the drapes.” One person simply wrote, “Harriet Tubman???”

Some social media users suggested she stole the look from Beyoncé’s “All Night” music video.

Others are offended and disturbed by this style, insinuating she’s dressed like a slave owner. “You’re [sic] family does seem like ones who owned plantations so I guess this theme was only right.. ?” one person wrote.

Kardashian has not reacted to the commenters. Yet.
