IMAX and A24 are partnering throughout 2024 to bring some of the indie studio's hit films back to the big screen in large format.

The partnership kicks off on March 27 with Alex Garland's Ex Machina, which also includes an exclusive sneak peek at his upcoming film Civil War.

Early Civil War reactions out of SXSW call the film a "modern masterpiece", so audiences get the chance to be in on the hype early.

The screening series will run once a month for a year and will have IMAX digitally remaster films from A24's library.

Ari Aster's Hereditary will follow Ex Machina, hitting theaters on April 24, with the Sadfie Brothers' Uncut Gems screening May 22.

It won't be the first partnership between IMAX and A24. Most recently, the duo partnered to revive the classic Talking Heads concert movie Stop Making Sense, which was headlined by a live event at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival.

IMAX has also held exclusive events for The Tragedy of Macbeth and limited releases for Everything, Everywhere All At Once, and Beau is Afraid, as well as a live event and nationwide screenings for the 25th anniversary of Darren Aronofsky's Pi.

Films in the 2024 screening series will be available across 300+ IMAX locations nationwide and in select international theaters.
