Robert Irwin opened up a can of worms while reminiscing on his late father, Steve Irwin.

The 19-year-old conservationist and nature photographer shared a throwback clip of the legend to his Instagram page, and shortly after, fans began begging him to reenact the video.

Robert didn't just upload any clip of the legend to the picture-sharing platform, he dug into the archives and found a commercial his father worked on for ESPN's SportsCenter.

In the video, Steve is chatting with anchor John Anderson and trying to convince him that ESPN should air The Crocodile Hunter when the elevator opens with the Florida Gators mascot inside. The media personality then tackles the mascot, as he would with wildlife, before Anderson scurries off flustered.

Upon sharing the throwback, social media users asked the youngest of Steve and Terri Irwin's two kids to reenact the ad, even calling it one of the best commercials ever to exist.

"It would be perfect if you reenact it!!" one exclaimed before another added, "Gold when it first aired, still gold today."

"The peak of ESPN marketing," a third gushed.

"It just goes to show you how very popular your Dad was with the mainstream media!" someone else shared. "He’s definitely the only guy worthy of an ESPN ad who wasn’t a professional athlete."

Clearly, Robert is just as big of a fan of the ad as the rest of the world, admitting in the caption, "My dad’s @espn ad will always make me laugh 😂👌." So, maybe, if we're lucky, one of these days, Robert will complete the ask and share his own version of the viral video.

Until then, fans will just have to continue to enjoy whatever other wholesome content the Australian zookeeper has in store.
