Details of Toby Keith's 'Private Funeral' Emerge

Late country star Toby Keith will soon be laid to rest.
Just a week after the beloved "Should've Been a Cowboy" singer sadly passed away, his team announced on social media that a private funeral service will be taking place in the coming days.
Keith died at the age of 62 on Monday, Feb. 5, following an over two-year battle with stomach cancer. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Tricia Covel and their three children, Shelley, 43, Krystal, 38 and Stelen, 26.
According to the Instagram post shared to his account, Keith's funeral service, hosted by the Covel family, will be limited to the late musician's family, band and crew. It is scheduled to take place sometime mid-February.
"A memorial service to honor Toby will be announced only on Toby’s socials shortly," the announcement also read.
Instead of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Keith's foundation, the OK Kids Korral, which is a cost-free home for families with children battling cancer.
The "Red Solo Cup" crooner was diagnosed with cancer in late 2021, though he didn't publicly share the news until the following June, after going through months of surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
The news of his death was announced online early on Feb. 6, just months after Keith made an appearance at the 2023 People's Choice Country Awards in September. He also performed three sold out shows in Las Vegas in December 2023, which would become his very last live performances.
