The flower-filled season has been in full bloom since the vernal equinox on March 19 and will last until the summer solstice on June 20.

That means there's ample cosmic opportunity to have a fun spring fling — or perhaps, even connect with your life-long soulmate. Better yet, there's a lot of astronomical activity within this timeframe, making these relationships' potential even more powerful.

PEOPLE's resident astrologer Kyle Thomas says that "positive relationships could quickly move to the next level" as a result of the powerful eclipses taking place this spring. One of the most notable, the rare total solar eclipse, occurred on April 8.

Solar eclipses are intense, which is why there's an increased attention on them both astronomically and astrologically. Thomas described April's lunation as a "new moon on steroids" because of its potential to bring "powerful opportunities" and "new journeys" into our lives.

Each zodiac sign will be affected differently as a result of the cosmic happenings this spring. Aries will have an "especially sexy" May, Cancer will have "particularly memorable" spring fling and Scorpio may find their "soulmate match" this season.

Aries (March 21 to April 19)

When it comes to your spring fling, Aries, you’re about to feel the heat sizzle! While April could feel a bit "sluggish or nostalgic" — especially if you're missing your ex — Thomas says "it's clear you're prioritizing your pleasure, ego and desire."

May will be "especially sexy," he adds, "as you are reignited with a fire to conquest whatever you set your eyes upon." If you want love, chase it!

Elsewhere in his prediction, Thomas says that "positive relationships could quickly move to the next level" as a result of the powerful eclipses taking place this spring.

Taurus (April 20 to May 20)

You’re the hottest zodiac sign of all now, Taurus, so this year’s spring fling is all about you living life to the fullest. Thomas says "you’re the celestial favorite to meet a true love connection now or take things to the next level with your sweetheart."

He continues, "Not only will you be tremendously popular in April, but you’ll also have a significant opportunity later in the month to face the truth in a key relationship." It will either "take things to the next level, make long-term plans or leave them in the dust," he says.

The end of April and May bring birthday season and "even more cosmic favor to you," notes Thomas. Above all — regardless of what you desire — he wants you to know that "you can have it all" when manifesting your spring fling, "but only if you're confident in who you are!"

Gemini (May 21 to June 20)

Get ready for an adventure-filled spring, Gemini! While April could have you reconnecting with old pals, acquaintances or even an old flame, Thomas predicts "you’ll likely focus a bit on what you truly need in your personal life."

In other news, Thomas says to prepare for a sizzling May as "you’re ready to be more popular than ever!" This year's spring will place emphasis on close pals or that special someone because because he says "love, laughter and adrenaline will be found by chasing the horizons and going with the flow."

Cancer (June 21 to July 22)

You’re "one of the most popular zodiac signs now," Cancer, so Thomas says your spring fling will be "particularly memorable." In fact, it appears you’re "being surrounded by many soulmates now — or meeting new ones."

"The more that you surround yourself with people who honor, adore and respect you, the more radiant you’ll become," says Thomas. "April could bring some important turning points around love matters, such as a decision to turn a casual flame into something more substantial or parting ways because you’re just not on the same page."

Luckily, Thomas predicts May "will bring you all sorts of social activity, with many chances to meet someone special through friends, turn a pal into a lover or just get a million matches on the dating app of your flavor."

Leo (July 23 to Aug. 22)

Virgo (Aug. 23 to Sept. 22)

When it comes to dating, on a general level, you tend to stick with your favorite “type,” Virgo. However, Thomas predicts this year’s spring fling is "all about tasting the exotic meats and going for someone who is scintillating and different."

With so much cosmic energy favoring your ability to connect with someone who is unique, he says "you could find that they open your eyes to vast new experiences both in and out of the bed." Another way this could benefit you is by "finding love while traveling or watching romance bloom if you’re on a trip for work or pleasure," says Thomas.

Thomas says you're in "one of the best periods" to have a spring fling, Capricorn! In fact, he predicts April and May could be "the breakthrough months" you’ve waited so long to arrive.

"Wild and spontaneous twists and turns leading you toward more passion, excitement and adventure will be here," says Thomas. "Even the chance to find your one true love could quite literally feel like a miracle or a dream come true."
