Cross Country Pro Pauses Practice To View Monkey At Brazil World Cup

World Cup cross-country riders are preparing for this weekend’s race in Araxa, Brazil.

As it turns out, the course has some unexpected spectators. Watch Laurie Arsenault spot a monkey in a tree during practice.

Arsenault is from Canada, so for her, a monkey is not an everyday sight. As far as world cups go, the primarily European series does not often have monkeys lining the course.

The Araxa World Cup is the second round of World Cup racing in Brazil. In Mairipora last weekend, Christopher Blevins and Jenny Risveds came away with wins in the XCO.
