Couple's Relaxing Vacation in Puerto Rico Turns Into a Rescue Mission for Dog Hit by a Car

What was supposed to be a quiet and relaxing vacation for TikTok user @unforgettablemind quickly turned into a dog rescue mission. There are hundreds of thousands of stray dogs living in Puerto Rico, and unfortunately, when in the car, this TikToker's driver accidentally hit one.

The driver kept going, but they knew they had to go back. The dedication they had to this dog is truly unmatched. Just wait until you hear what happens to the dog in the end. It'll make your heart burst with joy!

Aww! We need more people like this couple in the world. Not everyone would've gone back to check on the dog. Heck, the driver didn't even flinch. This couple not only went back, but they went above and beyond, taking him to the vet in Puerto Rico, helping him heal, and then even rescuing the dog. Does it get any sweeter than this?!

They took a huge risk since vet trips are not cheap. Plus, we can't even imagine how expensive it must've been to add a dog to the flight reservation. And not to mention the headache it must've been to fly with a dog. The good news is that it all worked out and this precious doggo is safe and sound in his new home with his new family and new doggy siblings. The creator even said that he's already adjusting and his personality is flourishing!

These numbers could also be larger after the island had a devastating earthquake in 2020. And just like it's happening in the U.S., Puerto Rico's shelters are over capacity
