Concho Valley Farmer’s Market to return in May

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Concho Valley Farmer’s Market is set to return in May, bringing fruits, vegetables, homestyle goods and more to the table for San Angelo citizens.

According to the City of San Angelo, the market is scheduled to reopen on May 11. From there, it will take place on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until October.

The reopening will take place from 7 a.m. to noon at its usual location of the open-air pavilions found at 609 S. Oakes St., according to the Concho Valley Farmer’s Market’s official Facebook page.

Vendors flock to the pavilions from a 75-mile radius around San Angelo to take part in the market, with people from all walks of life setting up a stand for a chance to sell the fruits (and vegetables) of their labor.

“Customers can expect to see a little bit of everything: green onions, beets, radishes, fresh herbs, squash, plants, pecans, honey and more,” the City said. “New crops will be added as they come into season.”

The City recommends attendees to bring cash, as not all vendors may accept debit or credit cards for payment. Those wanting to sell at the market can join for $15 or $20, which allows them to set up a stand for $5 or $10 at each sale.
