Calling all Jelly Belly fans: Become the first Chief Jelly Bean Officer

Jelly Belly Candy Company is searching for its first Chief Jelly Belly Bean Officer ahead of National Jelly Bean Day on April 22.

Jelly Belly is launching a nationwide search for its biggest (adult) fan to take the title in 2024. The company is looking for "the ultimate jelly bean aficionado, with an off-the-chart Jelly Belly IQ, a creative palate and inquisitive tastebuds."

The winner will receive $4,500 in cash, a year's supply of Jelly Belly jelly beans, and official Jelly Belly merchandise with their title.

"We are very lucky to have such a large group of Jelly Belly lovers across the country, so National Jelly Bean Day felt like the perfect time to recognize who matters most — the fans," Jelly Belly CEO Jeff Brown said in a statement. "We're eager to see which lucky fan will join us as the first ever Chief Jelly Belly Bean Officer for 2024. Someone that appreciates the quality, innovation and true-to-life flavor of our jelly beans will fit right in!"

Fans age 18 and older can enter to win at JellyBelly.com/ChiefJBO now through May 17. Participants will have to answer questions about the brand and the candy to prove their Jelly Belly IQ. According to the company, real fans would know, for example, how long it takes to make a Jelly Belly jelly bean, or which Jelly Belly flavor is the most controversial.

Entries will be reviewed at Jelly Belly HQ, and a winner will be selected by the end of May.
