Brooke Shields Sold Out the Sneakers I Can Walk 20,000 Steps in, but They're Back in a New Color

The Brooke Shields effect is in full swing — and I witnessed it firsthand a few weeks ago when she wore my favorite sneakers of all time. The actress was spotted in the no-break-in-time-needed Cariuma Salvas, which are, in my opinion, the superior white leather sneakers everyone should have. After I professed my love for the kicks that I can walk more than 20,000 steps in (and complimented Shields on how she oh-so perfectly styled them), I noticed they were almost all sold out a few days later (sad face). But, I have some good news… and I think you'll be very happy.

Cariuma has dropped an entirely new Salvas color that’s honestly perfect for spring and summer — and before you ask, yes, I’m snagging a pair as a type. (You should, too, as it’ll most likely sell out soon.) While most of the other Salvas colorways are currently on major backorder — thanks in large part to Shields, and maybe me a little, too — you can get your hands on the new shade ASAP.

The new color addition to the shopper- celeb- and editor-favorite Salvas family is a jazzy pink, and no, I didn’t make up that name. That’s exactly what the brand calls the poppy, in-your-face hue that is, in fact, pretty darn jazzy. The magenta-hue feels fresh and fun, but if pink isn’t really your cup of tea, I think it’s important to mention that it’s only subtly featured on accent areas, like on the side logo and the back collar. It’s still inherently a white sneaker, and it shares all the other standout elements of its fellow colorways.

The new Salvas color has all the same design features that makes them worthy of nearly 1,000 five-star reviews. The outside is made from a top-quality pebbled leather that’s sourced from LWG-certified Gold Rated tanneries; it’s surprisingly flexible, which is why the shoe needs zero break-in time. Love! There’s also a slip-resistant rubber outsole, meaning you can wear them rain or shine without fear of a mishap. Inside, you’ll find a removable cork insole that’s cushy and supportive. Frankly, it doesn’t get better than this shoe, so it’s no wonder it has a massively long waitlist right now — except for the Jazzy Pink colorway, of course.
