Atlanta Shelter Shares Adoptable Corgi Mix and He's Stealing Hearts Everywhere

Sometimes an animal shelter shares a clip of an adorable adoptable dog that no one can believe hasn't found a home yet, and the pup in the following clip shared on August 16 out of the Lifeline Animal project in Atlanta, Georgia is just one of those dogs.

The shelter thinks that Wombat might be a Corgi/Schipperke mix and he is just ridiculously adorable! He's so energetic and he's such an affectionate little guy. the shelter explains that Wombat has been with them for about three months and they believe he is between six and eight years old.

TikTok users have fallen madly in love with Wombat and @Mackenzie asks, "HOW is this goober not adopted? He’s perfect." @Rainbow adds, "I want this dog and I want him right now." @Smile hilariously replies, "He’s so potato." Little Wombat-Potato! @Star responds, "That’s the happiest potato I’ve ever seen."

I think Wombat is just the perfect example of what it's so important to adopt, don't shop. Let's say you badly want a Corgi. So you contact breeders but you discover that no local ones have puppies available or that the ones that are available are out of your price range. if you had visited a shelter you may have found a Corgi-mix like Wombat and he seems like the perfect pup for anyone who loves small breeds like Corgis. He may not have been exactly what someone was looking for, but he is sure exactly what someone needs! So please check out your local shelter when you're considering of adding a pet to your family. Your Wombat is probably out there just waiting for you.
