Al Roker is celebrating his birthday!
The Today weather forecaster marked his 69th spin around the sun on Sunday, August 20, sharing a roundup of images and videos with fans detailing how he spent his special day (and weekend).
Taking his social media followers along with him for a day in his life, he first began the birthday content on Saturday evening, showcasing one of his gifts from his wife, Deborah Roberts.
"My birthday present from @debrobertsabc is a @blackstoneproducts griddle, completing my #ringoffire," he shared alongside a video of his extensive backyard patio grill collection, while explaining what each outdoor cooking appliance depicted in the clip was.
Next, Roker gave a glimpse at some of the foods that were prepared for dinner, noting that his chef daughter, Courtney Roker Laga, 36, assisted with the grand spread. "With the help of @ouichefroker and @debrobertsabc my pre #birthday #saturdaysupper #smashburger #cedarplanksalmon #hotdogs #cornpudding #cornonthecob #bakedbeans #tomatosalad and a #salad," he noted.
Following the weekend barbecue-style meal, he presented his usual social media address while taking his daily morning walk. "This is my 69th anniversary of orbiting the sun, and after everything that I went through in the last year, I am more than grateful to be celebrating this birthday," he said in the video upload, before thanking fans for all the well wishes. "God bless you. Thank you so much, I appreciate it."
The Daytime Emmy award winner closed out by blowing a kiss to his supporters.
As his eventful day continued, the TV personality posted a selfie of himself and his wife along with son Nick, 21, as the proud parents completed drop-off for another year of schooling. "Back to the #emptynest after dropping our young man at college for sophomore year," he noted alongside the family capture.
Wrapping up his birthday festivities, Roker rounded off his content for the day with a few snapshots of his "yummy" dinner at Hudson Valley, New York's Bimi's Canteen and Bar.
On Monday morning, August 21, he delighted fans even further by posting a duo of images with his newborn granddaughter, Sky. "Best #birthdaypresent," he simply captioned the endearing photos, before also sharing an additional image with his birthday twin, actor Ke Huy Quan.
"Wow. Look who I share a birthday with. Happy belated to the joyful, grateful @kehuyquan," he wrote.
