Al Roker Melts Hearts While Apple Picking With Infant Granddaughter

Al Roker

Al Roker has officially been promoted from doting dad to doting grandfather.

The grandpa of one—whose daughter Courtney Roker Laga welcomed his first grandchild, making him a "Pop Pop," earlier this year—is making hearts melt with new content of himself and the new babe out apple picking.

In the sweet snapshots, the family enjoyed fall weather, appearing in seasonally appropriate hoodies and jackets for the outdoor activity.

The famed Today weather forecaster's three-month-old granddaughter Sky was adorably bundled up in a cozy multicolored knit sweater and a grey beanie, keeping warm inside her stroller seat before coming out to make her appearance in the lovable photos.

In the second image of his social media gallery shared on Monday morning, Oct. 9, Roker smiled wide while cradling the bundle of joy in his arms under a tree filled with ripe red apples. In another, he gathered close with his daughter and her husband Wesley, his son Nick, and additional members of the Roker family crew, as evidenced by their Instagram profiles.

"Best #applepicking ever. Blue Sky and my Baby Sky. Family," the 69-year-old gushed in the caption of the post.

In the comment section, fans poured in with warmhearted notes for the TV personality and his brood.

"As close as one can get to heaven on earth is holding your grandchild. A special relationship 💕," one said, as another advised, "She’s a cutie. Enjoy they grow up so fast. ❤️"

One reminded us of an age-old idiom, writing, "Apple a day keeps the doctor away.💝💝," while several more simply called the group a "beautiful family."

"After so many years in our living rooms it’s just wonderful to see life be good to you," another said, and we can't help but agree with that sentiment.
