I’m not an all-out seasonal decorator, but I do like to add special touches to my home that feel fitting for the time of year: tea towels covered in pretty leaves for fall, fir-scented candles in winter, or fresh flowers for spring. I like to have something on my front door, too, but I never want to spend too much money on it. After all, it’s just a tiny bit of seasonal flair.

That’s why when I saw this mini DIY from TikToker @barefootandfreckled I immediately stopped my scroll. To make her adorable spring wreath, she only shopped at Dollar Tree — making this easy project supremely affordable, too.

There are a few crucial supplies that you’ll need to replicate this lemon wreath DIY. The most important is the wood bead wreath form; availability varies by location, but I’ve seen it at two of my local Dollar Tree stores. While you’re there, you’ll also need to pick up the following supplies:

  • Faux greenery of your choice

  • Faux lemons

  • Twine

  • Floral wire

  • Ribbon

And make sure to have the following tools too:

The design of the ribbon is totally up to you. This video shows a burlap-and-lace pick, but a gingham would also look super cute.

Once you have everything you need, it’s all about arranging the faux stems to your liking on the wreath form. Use the hot glue to hold them in place, then fully secure them with floral wire. Finally, add a ribbon bow — I love the super-simple double-looped version shown in the video — and a loop for hanging.

Commenters on this TikTok were just as smitten as I was, calling this DIY “super cute” and “beautiful,” as well as the best DIY compliment of all: “Simple.” You could easily create this wreath in under an hour.

Even if you’re not sold on the lemon design shown here, the wood bead wreath form is such a chic starting point (and definitely doesn’t look like it’s from the dollar store). You could completely smother it in florals for a maximalist design, or pare down the flourishes for something even more understated. Whatever your personal decor preference, it’s worth snagging a wood bead wreath form the next time you’re in a Dollar Tree — it’s a true DIY gem.
