8th annual Celtic Festival held in Tyler on Memorial Day weekend

TYLER, Texas (KETK) – The 8th annual Celtic Festival is being held in Tyler this Memorial Day weekend.

38th annual Fair On The Square held in Rusk

The festival was created to help recognize the Celtic cultures of Scottish, Irish and Welsh people here in East Texas. The festivities include games, live music, food and many vendors.

“There are presentations, there are performances. We have 55 vendors out here selling everything from cookies to cakes to Celtic apparel. We have swords and all kinds of great stuff. And no shortages of amazing accessories, crystals, food and things like that,” said organizer, Melissa McGinnis.

The festival started on Friday and will continue on Memorial Day when they’ll be having a folk singer to entertain festival-goers.
