Travis Kelce looks to be making smart moves in Hollywood!

Kelce, 34, is in talks to host a reboot of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? for Prime Video, an insider confirms to PEOPLE. Variety was the first to report the news.

According to Variety's report, sources close to the project say that the rebooted version of the game show would utilize celebrities in place of where the original series had children contestants.

Originally hosted by Jeff Foxworthy on Fox, Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? premiered on Feb. 27, 2007, and ran through 2011 before the network canceled the show. Then in 2015, Foxworthy returned to host one more season.

In 2019, Nickelodeon revived the concept with John Cena as host for a single season.

The rebooted game show wouldn't be the first time the NFL star has served as a television host. In March 2023, he scored that coveted spot on Saturday Night Live. And while he didn't host the series, Kelce was the subject of a reality dating show called Catching Kelce on E! in 2016.

The potential hosting gig would continue Kelce's streak of entertainment endeavors, which include producing two films.

His first project, My Dead Friend Zoe, premiered at SXSW earlier this month, and King Pleasure, an upcoming documentary about Jean-Michel Basquiat, begins production this summer.

Last year, the NFL star told PEOPLE he's interested in pursuing a career in Hollywood once he retires from the NFL. Speaking about his experience hosting Saturday Night Live in March 2023, the tight end said, "It was an experience that was like nothing else that I've ever gone through."

Kelce continued, "I just can't thank them enough for giving me that opportunity, because I didn't know I was going to enjoy scripted comedy, or that entire entertainment world as much as I did, until I was on a set and going through the week of preparation and stuff like that."

After getting a feel for the entertainment industry, Kelce said he's "definitely interested [in pursuing more acting projects]," adding, "but that's a whole new craft that I feel like I really got to lock in and focus on [before I do]."

During his opening monologue, Kelce revealed that he was nervous about doing the intro on the late-night comedy sketch series. "But then I remembered, I'm pretty good with words. Like during games, I do these super eloquent pump-up speeches for my teammates" he joked, before a video of him repeatedly screaming "More! More! More!" played.

"And sometimes I even do it in my Pat Mahomes voice," Kelce added before mimicking his Chiefs teammate. "Love you, Pat."

In October, Kelce returned to Saturday Night Live for a surprise cameo with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. The Chiefs star made an appearance in a skit parodying the NFL frenzy surrounding his then-rumored romance with the Grammy winner. Swift, 34, introduced her friend Ice Spice's performance on the episode.
