'The Tonight Show' Does 'National Lampoon's Vacation' Road Trip to Orlando

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon headed down to Orlando, Fla., this week to promote the opening of the new Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon ride at Universal Studios. The show opened with Jimmy, Questlove, Tariq, Higgins, and Hashtag jumping into the “family truckster” for a National Lampoon’s Vacation-style road trip.

The trip started with them singing “Holiday Road” from the movie and then escalated to Higgins and Tariq fighting in the backseat until Jimmy pulled over and threatened them by saying, “If you guys don’t cut it out, we’re gonna turn this car around, we’re going back to New York, and no one gets to ride the new ride! Got it?”

Once they finally got to Universal Studios, the park was, of course, closed. But Jimmy wasn’t about to pack up and head home. He said, “The Tonight Show doesn’t go home. Did George Washington go home when he invented the telephone? Did Wilt Chamberlain go home when he invented electricity? Did Ben Franklin go home when he did a 360 windmill dunk over Kareem Abdul Jabbar?”

While Jimmy’s speech was entertaining, it didn’t change the security guard’s mind. Luckily, they got some help from Hashtag, who tackled the guard, and everyone was finally able to go inside and start the show.

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of The Tonight Show for free on Yahoo View.
