The Mexican skit that Trump refused to do on 'SNL'

On Late Night With Seth Meyers, Saturday Night Live stars Colin Jost and Michael Che stopped by and talked about skits they’d pitched that were turned down — specifically, one skit that then-candidate Donald Trump refused to do the last time he hosted, in November 2015.

Jost pitched a sketch in which Trump would play a spokesman for “Rosetta Stone Mexican.” But instead of teaching people how to speak Spanish, he would have been teaching people what they can say to Mexican people.

Jost explained, “He would teach you phrases you could say to someone who was Mexican, like, ‘You’re gonna build the wall.’”

Oddly enough, given the recent allegations against Trump involving porn star Stormy Daniels, one skit Trump did agree to involved appearing alongside Cecily Strong and Vanessa Bayer, who happened to be playing porn stars.

Jost said, “In the sketch, at the end of it, he turns to Cecily and says, ‘Didn’t you used to be a brunette?’ And I’m like, ‘He’s not going to say that.’ But then he said it. And right after he says it, it cuts to ‘Donald Trump for President 2016.’ It was insane.”

Late Night With Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:35 a.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of Late Night for free on Yahoo View.
