Yahoo Autos BMW's Performance Parts-Equipped M3 Looks Straight Out of Fast & Furious
In case you somehow haven't heard, BMW finally launched its new high-performance M3 sedan and M4 coupe yesterday. The looks are, well, divisive, but one thing's for sure: the cars are going to be quick. But BMW understands that for some people, that's not enough. That's why the company's also introduced a swath of factory-designed M Performance Parts upgrades for the car.
The collection of parts available is more wide-ranging than on any other car in BMW's lineup. In terms of performance upgrades, M3 and M4 buyers have some serious kit available to them, including a coilover set with manually adjustable ride height and track-specific brake pads.
If you want to add a bit more flair to your M3 or M4's looks, there are plenty of cosmetic upgrades available as well. Carbon fiber splitters, bumper pieces, diffusers, and even a carbon fiber spoiler are on offer. Inside, things like Alcantara steering wheels, M-badged door projectors, floor mats, door sills, and so much more. There's also two sets of forged wheels on offer, one style that measures 19 inches up front and 20 inches in the rear, and another that measures 20 inches up front and 21 inches in the rear.
Without a doubt the most interesting item on offer, though, is the "M Performance silencer system." It's a titanium exhaust that uses a totally different four-pipe exit layout versus the standard system, and looks like it came right off the set of the latest Fast & Furious film. It weighs 11 pounds less than the factory item, has ceramic-coated tips, and a flap for adjusting volume depending on whatever drive mode the car is in.
It's worth pointing out just how crazy the rest of BMW's Performance Parts-equipped M3 looks. The company published a video on its YouTube channel showing off the two-tone creation, equipped with what looks to be every other part the company has on offer. We're not sure if it makes the M3 look better or worse, to be honest.
