American Alexander Rossi is Hopeful He'll Have an F1 Seat In 2016

Alexander Rossi joined IndyCar after Manor demoted him to reserve driver. Now, Manor wants him full-time. Wonder why...

From Road & Track

We're big fans of Alexander Rossi here at Road & Track. He's one of only a handful of Americans to ever compete in Formula 1 and he's kind enough to share his experiences with our Marshall Pruett. That's why we're happy to hear that Rossi said things are "looking positive" for a spot on the F1 grid in 2016, in an interview with Sky Sports .

Last year, Rossi drove in a handful of Grands Prix for Manor Marussia after doing years of work a test driver for Manor Marussia and earlier, Caterham. For 2016, Manor is the only F1 team yet to confirm its driver lineup, opening the possibility for Rossi to finally have a permanent seat on the grid.
