'Scandal' Star Bellamy Young Plays 'It's Your Line' With Past Roles

Scandal star Bellamy Young has had to learn a lot of dialogue during her acting career (one Scandal episode contains enough words to be a Dickens novel), so we decided to test her memory of her past roles by playing “It’s Your Line”).

The delightful Young, who plays the ambitious yet vulnerable First Lady Mellie Grant, was game to see if she could recall her lines from shows including Nash Bridges and Scrubs. And over the years, she’s delivered some amazing dialogue, like the time her lawyer character gave this sharp advice to a client: “Dignity. That is your strong suit. Play it. Don’t lower your eyes.”

Need a hint? That client was played by her Scandal co-star Joe Morton. How awesome is it that these two have acted together before?

Young also popped into the Yahoo Confessional booth, where she revealed all sorts of deep, dark secrets — like her first celebrity crush, theme song, and biggest irrational fear. It’s ironic that her biggest party foul involved the White House!

Scandal returns Thursday, Sept. 24 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
