Cookie certainly lives up to her name on Empire — so delicious, yet so bad!

The matriarch, played by Taraji P. Henson, was the breakout character in a show filled with memorable figures. Not a week went by without Twitter going crazy for Cookie-isms, from her derisive nicknames (like “Boo Boo Kitty” for Anika) to her words of, ah, wisdom (“You want Cookie’s nookie? Ditch the bitch.”).

It was no surprise that Henson got an Emmy nomination for her portrayal of the side-eye-slinging, burn-dishing firecracker. We’ve compiled her five most Emmy-worthy moments, which was no easy task. Of course, there’s the time she attended a family dinner, thinking Lucious (Terrence Howard) wanted to rekindle their relationship, when in fact, the dinner was to celebrate his engagement to Anika (Grace Gealey).
